First Impressions

Informed Consent is a mainly forum based, donation run site for those who are active in the bdsm scene.

Facilities

Private Memos – send and receive messages to other members
Network - The choice to add real life friends or online ones!
Discussion Boards – The main area of the site….. very active forum section covering a multitude of bdsm related topics
Groups – Member run forums relating to particular topics very active
Blogs – Chose to write your own, read the thoughts of others, or offer your own input to other posters
Events Listings – A very comprehensive listing of fetish and bdsm clubs, events, muches etc which can be filtered by postcode area and date
Chatrooms - For me, this is the only let down of the site….. the chatrooms on IC are very basic and seem to be used very rarely by members, with most prefering to use the forums. Im not sure whether the lack of people using the chatroom is the reason why this aspect of the site has not been improved upon, or if people do not tend to use the chatrooms because they are so basic
Dictionary - A very comprehensive dictionary of various terms used in the fetish and BDSM scene which is a great help to complete novices and experienced players (who may be branching into another scene) alike.
Mistress Index – Listings of professional dommes/doms who are site members
Personal Ads - Much the same as the Mistress Index, but this is for non-paying meets

Suggestions:

Personally I would like to see an advanced search facility. Although asside from that there is very little that could be done to improve the site considsering that it is free to join. There is a chat facility…. although the members of this site do not tend to use it, and the forum are a fantastic place for people to discuss clubs, events and interesting points wqithin the BDSM scene.
