First Impressions

The Kinky Kent website is not like any of the other sites which we have reviewed so far. In that rather than the website being an online worldwide (or even countrywide) contact site for people to meet…. Kinky Kent is much smaller scale….. As the name suggests, the site is soley intended for the use of those who live in or nearby the county of Kent. Unlike many other contact sites, rather than people arranging private meets, Kinky Kent does seem to have developed a loyal following of genuine local people, which whilst small in comparison to other sites, does make the whole site a lot more ‘relevant’ to the genuine user.

Facilities

Messages - Send private messages to other site members
Chatroom - What seems to be a good basic text chatroom facility, although I cant say that I have ever entered the chatroom and found anyone using it
Blogs - Read other members musings, or write your own
Photos - View the lasted public photos uploaded by other site members
Munches/Event Dates - Find out when local munches and fetish events are going on in the Kent area, and who is attending
Groups - Join groups to chat about clubs, fetishes or vanilla life
Private Chat - Very difficult to locate as it is hiding at the very bottom of your screen, but a good private messaging tool which you can use to send instant messages to other online users.

 Suggestions:

The first thing that springs immediately to mind is that it took us hours to work out where the private chat function was located. We knew that there was one as we kept receiving private messages, but we had no idea how to initiate chat until we were told where to locate the function by another helpful user. So this really does need to be added to the main menu side bar.

That aside, I would find it hard to criticise the site based on the low number of members and empty chatroom. After all this site is intended as a local resource for real people and the number of members is reflected in this. I have so far not seen any other localised contact sites of this nature, and if they do not exist, then I think that other areas are definately missing out.
