First Impressions

Alt.com is one of the biggest, if not the biggest fetish contact site on the web. It is a worldwide side with several million members from across the globe, including just under 500,000 members from the UK. I was very excited about taking another look at this site as I was a member several years ago and did meet a few people from this site myself when I was first getting involved with the scene. Although I wasn’t quite as pretty these days as I am now.
The site does have a very lengthy section for personal details, video greetings, photos which can be added, which all help when trying to locate like minded people for fun, so it is well worth taking the time to fill in these sections in full if you are seriously looking for someone to meet with rather than a quick wank over some chatroom talk.

Facilities

Chatrooms – Includes a large variety of themed rooms, based on your region and your particular kink or fetish. Including a webcam fun chat room
Instant Messenger – Allows you to chat with other online members privately on a 1-2-1 basis
Blogs – Read other members musings, or write your own

Search Facility – Search for other users based on gender, age, location and interests…… with many more options for paying members such as marital status, race, bra cup size, male endowment etc
Photos – View photos uploaded by other site members (full access only to gold members)
Video – Comes with the options to pay per minute or download movies to own, or watch videos uploaded by other members (full access only to gold members)
Model Chat – Allows members to pay to chat with cam models

Suggestions:
After completing my registration in full and having a quick refresh of what the site had to offer, I became a little disillusioned with the site that I used to hold in such high regard.
Many of the features which used to be available to standard members (even things as basic as sending messages or adding other members as friends) are no longer available unless you are a Gold or Silver member… I couldn’t even send my own Mistress a friend request!
Basic members instead are faced with a strange system where they have to tot up points to be able to use some of even the basic site functions, these points are accrued by things such as profile views, time spent online, and comments on blogs etc. Which is great in theory as it does discourage timewasters, but on the other hand, if you are too busy to go on the site for more than a few days then you seem to have to start over again.
Although Alt is a worldwide site, it does seem to be predominantly aimed at the US market with 2.3 million members residing in the states… This is not a criticism, just a pointer for anyone in the UK who is thinking about joining.
